Not sure if there's something like this out there already. If it is, then I've missed it.

Today I modelled a boat crane which had a few wires to the arms. At some point need to adjust the arms, meaning I had to redo all the wires again. So I was thinking, why not have sticky vertices? It'd be nice to select the vertices of my wires and have them link to a vertex on the crane, so when I moved anything the line would stretch along.

Would it be possible to set an observer to the anchor vertices and then update the connected vertices? I suppose some observer to monitor the parent group/component of the vertex would have to be added as well?

What would be even better if this could be extended, so you could have arcs with tension, so it has a certain length. So when you move the anchor vertices the arc tenses as streched to it's max. (maybe even restrict the anchor from moving too long when the arc has reach maximum...)

What's your thoughts? Doable? Some gotchas?

        Hi Tom,

As usually, I may be dumb and totally misunderstand something again but does this update of Driving Dimensions do what you mean?
