Ballerina

Hi Suppers,
A quick conceptual rendering showing my love/hate relationship with the cigaret.
Sketchup + Podium v1.6.
Photoshop for smoke.I used following rubies to 'model' the cigaret pile: RandomLines.rb and LinesToCylinders.rb
I hope you like it.
Regards,
Kwistenbiebel -
I thought you were giving up SU ?-)

I also have a love/hate relationship with Sketchup.
I guess the love was big enough today.... -
Nice "child" of this love, Kwist!
-
Being the "smoking baby" around here, I guess I have to say something here...
Nice renders, Chris..!!
Sad that you haven't textured them... -
he he ...Thanks Frederick.
I just had the urge to keep things clean and simple.
A bit like the approach Stinkie would take ... -
Thanks Gaieus
...some more playing around:
-
I love it. Maybe distinguish the filter a little more. You have great vision!

don't tell me that the smoke is made in su too! i know it could be possible, but it would be a challenge like carving a david from one block of marble.
nice idea and composition indeed.
-
as usual. very impressive and very creative.

Very nice. I wonder if the smoke could be created in sketchup using a fog control ruby or something
-
Thanks!

Nah, you would need particle simulation for that.(C4d,Max, etc...)

For still shots, Ron's Smoke Brushes for photoshop are awesome.
-
Beautiful. I actually like the simplicity of the first image better. Adding the other "Stacks" only takes away from the concept I think. Great work.

It kind of looks like a Castle... cough.
Nice image. I am curious however, why call it Ballerina? (hoping the answer is not obvious).
-
I'm guessing it has to do with the way the smoke dances.

Thanks .
Try to look at the smoke pattern and use your imagination -
And there is the obvious that I missed.
Thanks. Again, nice image. -
really nice image, kwistenbiebel. almost looks like an advertisement for something (don't know what though).
