A quick conceptual rendering showing my love/hate relationship with the cigaret.
Sketchup + Podium v1.6.
Photoshop for smoke -
Very nice. I wonder if the smoke could be created in sketchup using a fog control ruby or something
-
Thanks!

Nah, you would need particle simulation for that.(C4d,Max, etc...)
-
For still shots, Ron's Smoke Brushes for photoshop are awesome.
-
Beautiful. I actually like the simplicity of the first image better. Adding the other "Stacks" only takes away from the concept I think. Great work.

It kind of looks like a Castle... cough.
Nice image. I am curious however, why call it Ballerina? (hoping the answer is not obvious).
-
I'm guessing it has to do with the way the smoke dances.

Thanks .
Try to look at the smoke pattern and use your imagination -
And there is the obvious that I missed.
Thanks. Again, nice image. -
really nice image, kwistenbiebel. almost looks like an advertisement for something (don't know what though).
-
Smokin!!
In those grey tones the stacks look like memorials, maybe an anti smoking campaign?
-
uuuh, I like this idea, Solo! a memorial for the millions of smokers who lost their lives
they never gave up
-
Nice, I like the first image. The smoke is really well done, whatever the media. It reminds me of the subliminal advertising techniques.
-
I don't know about anti smoking....these renders make me want a cigarette. And I'm not much of a smoker.
-
I like the artistry/concept, simplicity, execution, all - great work KB!
I also think you did a great job w/ the smoke in post-pro.
-
Thanks for the nice comments.
I didn't quit smoking yet ...
-
well, you're Dutch, right?! I thought it was some sort of citizenship requirement (at least I understood that from when I visited there in '96)
-
Oooh, Fletch ... Never tell a Fleming he's Dutch!
Cool renders, K-man. Too bad your new employer doesn't allow you to show your 'real' work.

Thanks Stinkerd.
We might become a part of Holland again sooner than we think (we have a screw up government).
Guess I bailed out from Belgium just in time .Indeed, I can't show the office work I am doing anymore, but christmas holidays give me enough room to do some free-wheeling of my own.
