I still veer massively towards Kevin being a troll character made up by someone to try and prove a point over the bumping issue.

As for Kevin not being real, that does sound like a fairly viable analysis to me, though I dare not comment on the reasons why anyone would come up with a stunt like this.
C'mon guys, give it a rest with the conspiracy theories! As myself and Stu were the only ones vocal against the blog threads in the Gallery (although 1/3 of respondants agreed with us ) I guess that would make us the most likely suspects for such a wheeze. Do you really think either of us (or anyone for that matter) would have the time (or the pettiness) to devote a month of their time to post nearly 300 posts on SCF (Stu's total is just over 400, mine a little over 1000 over a period of a year), register over at the V-Ray for SU forums, create a "blog", at least two 3D Warehouse accounts with dozens of models and an Imageshack account? Having discussed both the "bumping" issue and Kevin's spamming at length with Stu by PM (and recently with moderators at the V-Ray forums) I can confidently rule myself and Stu out as the masterminds behind little Kevin Smith (I'm sure Csaba could run a quick IP check and rule out Sweden or Australia as a source anyway). If there just happens to be an SCF member who lives in New York (if that is where Kevin is from and he hasn't blocked his IP), who felt strongly enough about bumping threads and had the imagination and the spare time to concoct such a prank, then I'll eat my words, but until they 'fess up, I'll leave the conspiracy theories to others. If someone did create the little fella, I'd give them an Oscar!

I have been going through this thread in the past few days with 'shock and awe'. Apart from everything else, I agree with the Major that this WednesdayThursdayFriday acronym is uncivil, and sickening going by the rate at which it is dished out.
This topic had evoked many thoughts in my mind but what I would bring forward is just this: why do we allow and tolerate this kind of behaviour? I am a member of an automobile forum where posts are heavily moderated, especially those from newbies. Until a member attains a certain number of post or some other condition, his/her posts are queued for approval by a moderator before it appears on a page. There are strict rules for conduct and language; e.g. no flaming, no slang, no sms lingo, no swear words. Correct grammar usage and structured sentences are encouraged, otherwise a member is penalised with infraction points. That too for a community where 99.99% of its members do not speak English natively. I am still a newbie there and proud to say it is a very vibrant community.

kev1995?....gee he's younger than I thought....I would have guessed he was at least fourteen.
And thanks Jackson ....as I mentioned before I just dont have the imagination let alone the time to have invented Kevin......but while on the subject of bumping...the Automotive Gallery is showing no signs of improving. Its probably neither here nor there to most people but I'm not bothering to post there until some serious restructuring is done to the gallery.

Personally i tolerate stuff like this because i think there might be a real person behind all the 'wtf's, and you never know, we might see some decent modelling coming from this lad. Perhaps im just deluding myself.

No your right Remus.....I can see it now....after profuse apologies Kevin knuckles down to producing what are eventually fantastic car concepts...his post count tops 5000 in less than a year....and as a reward he is made a Global Moderator at the age of fifteen!!!

I am deleting a logo I had done because I thought Kevin's favorite phrase was beginning to define him. I think it's only humor would be to Kevin and others who had suffered along. It seemed to have set off a orgy.
I don't find the phrase that offensive, but just silly, and juvenile. I am surprised others are so offended, but we are a mix of cultures after all. I am sorry for offending those in other cultures. This is the corner bar and there are some pretty hot topics here at times. Someone is bound to be offended, but apparently this is too far. Mike's the boss.
C'mon Frederick, as Sponge Bob says. We're not laughing at him. We're laughing next to him.

...or not.
you never know.My bet's on not though.

I don't find the phrase that offensive, but just silly and juvenile, Just like many useless one word posts. I am surprised others are so offended, but we are a mix of cultures after all. I am sorry if the banter has offended some. We were supposedly poking fun at the excessive use of this term by one member.
This is the corner bar but there has to be limits so more people are not disgusted and the forum is well represented. We all know it can get extreme. In the end, most of us are here to get help and inspiration, sometimes a little joking.
Mike's the boss here. Thank you Mike.
