How to place model on Google Earth

I need to place a model on exact location, how does it work?

Yes, that's it. When you import the GE Snapshot, it will automatically set your geolocation to where you were in GE at the time taking it.
Place your model precisely onto the site, turn on Terrain to set the altitude correctly and you are ready to press the place model button or upload to the warehouse where it will be recognised as a georeferenced file ready to download to GE.

... quite a large number of threads on this topic - and none of them solves my problem (or I simply haven't found it ) so I've chosen this arbitrary thread to avoid opening a 1001st one g
I tried to create a simple model of my village's church, the mortuary and the surrounding cemetery walls for use in GE. Problem is, the terrain is quite sloped; I placed the buildings on the surface (terrain toggled on, added sockets where needed) and modeled the wall according to the ground. So everything looks quite nice in GE when terrain is toggled on; but when viewed without terrain, the model looks awful, everything floating around in different heights over the ground. Making three distinct models looks a bit better, but importing three models in GE isn't the real thing.
So my question to the pros in landscape/city modeling is: How do you deal with this circumstance? Do you completely ignore all users with terrain toggled off, or do you offer an additional 'flat' model for them, or is there some secret trick to make it look good in both views?

Hi Stefan,
Usually what Google demands (and "normally" people would / should do) is to model with Terrain on since if it is 3D,the terrain should also be 3D.
However, with simpler models (one building at a time) when you suddenly turn terrain off in GE, the model should more or less "accurately" jump down or snap to the flat terrain.
This cannot be achieved with a longer wall of even the smallest graveyard (especially knowing that these graveyards are actually often placed on hillsides or hilltops near the villages in the valleys in Europe).
A solution could be to model smaller pieces of the wall separately and upload them one by one but this would be a ridiculous demand so I would go to ignore those not toggling terrain on when viewing 3D buildings.
Of course there could be a solution; to prevent 3D building from being displayed when terrain is off in GE - or more exactly, turning on the 3D Layer would automatically trigger the terrain (and with exaggeration 1).
Would make a good feature request
