How do I create a rb file

I found a code online. I am not sure how to save this. Do I save it as a text file? I tried doing this and then saving it with an .rb instead of .txt in the plugins folder. It won't work. What am I doing wrong?

Hi nrschmid !

Codes in page you've mentionned are exemples. To try them, you have to :

• copy opne code (for example "UI.beep")
• Open ruby console, in the SketchUp Windows menu
• Paste it in the console
• Enter to validate.

Sketchup returns a beep !

What does it mean: "It don't work." Maybe you're using Windows and have enabled hiding file extensions. You should disable this in Windows.
