have quite high performance computer to get results like that.
Haha. Not quite... Here's the shocker:I use Vista with a 512MB card
That’s not a lot but you might have a good processor. I have Vista on a 2GB ram module but because I only have a 1.86GHz processor it can’t live up to what the RAM can handle.
My sister has a 256mb laptop but it has a 2.4GHz processor...It’s ridiculous. It’s about 6 years old and its processor is as good as it gets. It can run fryrender fine because it doesn’t take a lot of ram and because it has a really good processor it can get results fast. It can do in about 2 hours what my computer would take 10. Why computers dont come with better processors is beyond me.

Oh and I'm thinking of doing some render work for a few weeks. I'm going to start with the Maverick GT. Should I post them here or send it to you by email?
Feel free to post them here but no one would be able to download them because of the file protection. If you want you can send me a copy so I can add them to my website.
Best of luck

Here is another wheel from the 2010 GT500

Tell me what you think...

You should use hypershot seeing that render made me think that maybe it will come out 100x better on hypershot. Look it up its awsome. ill give the artega a try too. Blank, can i have a copy of your modified artega

Slow day is it.......?
Here is a pack of car interior textures, created by me, that should be useful.
To use:
-Drag JPG image into SketchUp model
-Explode to turn into texture
-Double click texture "in model" to change dimensionsZIP contains:
-Falcon texture:
Is available in the new Ford Falcon. It is the basic seat fabric
-Falcon texture black:
Is available in the new Ford Falcon. It is the basic trim
-Falcon texture blue:
Is available in the new Ford Falcon. It is the coloured trim
(To edit colour go "in model", select material and click "Create Material..." This will then display a material editing panel)
-Leather

-Leather 2
Trim leather, for such places as steering wheel and door trim.
Interior Textures.zipFord Falcon eBrochuer.pdf is also included for examples of the materials
Falcon eBrochure.zip -
Does anyone like the set of interior textures?

Mesh / Weave for trimInterior Metals.zip
I'm just starting to explore this section of SU so don't be harsh, tell me what you think. -
Here are some renders
-
Those renders look great ray, not the same as the Artega GT-B but still good
-
Not bad, not bad at all!
FYI, I have moved all my old topics here...
-
HyperShot is an amazing software. I got it a few days ago but I'm having trouble with saving the images. Must be my pc since it didn't meet some (cough most cough) of the requirements. But I did get it to work once...
Yes, I completely forgot about the lighting...Update: Here's the edit.
-
just wondering how you do those environments in those renders? how do you get the ground to be under the car with the hdri?
-
Here is another model encase you haven’t seen it already
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=d25584d554d3736eb86212fe7a90e1bf&prevstart=0
It’s a performance version of my G-R V8
I hope to see some mods (hint, hint)I am going to have a break from SU for a little while. I haven’t been getting much done on y models and I need to clear my head if I want to get things in perspective.
I am getting a new Force Feedback racing wheel so I’ll occupy myself with GT4 for a while... -
You'll need the break . If you stay away from SU for a while, your progress will be better when you come back. Don't know why, but it just works.
If I get back to modelling, I'll work on the G-R V8 R. I guess it'll either be a coupe or ute. I already did a tuned sedan and I try not to recycle ideas. But for now, I'll stick to uploading my finished models.
An awkward situation. I've found out that someone gave my GT-B a 1 star. I thought: Oh, ok. Another troll. But then I came across the "troll's" models and found out that he/she makes decent stuff. Hmm... That same person down-rated my two other models. Weird.
-
I can’t wait to what you do with the model
I have noticed that person too, it’s that ((( İLKE ))) person. Apparently the F__k tard is friends with some other person who doesn't like you for some reason.
I don't care for it; he/she he-she is just another weird retard in the warehouse. There seems to be a lot of them and I can't see why. -
another spammer? and i thought TheWhatever Was enough....
I wish the warehouse was like it was in '06, almost no spammers, and 99.9% of the stuff wasnt stolen, almost no bad ratings....
-
lol yeah that was one of the reasons why i left da warehouse. Same reason most of the awsome modelers left too
-
hey rogue, I love your renders! I'd like to make some cars and do some like them, but i'm at a loss at how you get the environment under the car (the cars cast shadows on it), what program do you use to do that? vray?
-
I use fryrender to make my renders but I just model a ground in the same model as my car in SketchUp. Just make sure its all level with the axis an is set to recieve shadows etc
