Tedium but worthwhile tedium?

Nothing too special about the model but it was very tedious to make. It's all SketchUp and a bit of editing in Paint.NET.

I am pleased with how they turned out although those and a couple of other scales are only small parts of a larger project. Thought about some easier ways to make the scales but didn't like how they were working out. These should work perfectly, though.Here's a sample of the overall project.
By the way, I never seem to be able to turn down SketchUp work. If you've got something, let me know.

This is looking interesting.
that first image made me think. how about architect's and engineering scales that can be manipulated and used in SU! And then we can do some calcs on working models of slide rules etc.

I bet one of the Ruby gurus could write a plugin to animate the slide rule, accept inputs and display the results via the scales. We'd have SketchUp: The calculator.
