New google browser

You can't be serious, the only thing there are advertising with is that you can search and type an address in the address bar. Big deal, Firefox ftw
*edit, okay it can do a bit more than that [wasn't clicking all the links before] but still... No go...

Works pretty well, and fast.
This reply was made using Chrome.

They should learn how to spell... Although Mozilla 'Firefow' sounds catchy!

Okay, they really need to know how to spell [In Dutch, don't know if the English version is better]

Loving the clean layout

it seems pretty good so far. Pretty sparse though.
It'll be interesting to see how people end up using it, and if its going to get any add ons (a la firefox.)
HFM, rather ironically the in built spell checker is pretty good

Sparse is the perfect word for it, don't know when the add-ons will be arriving,
but I hope they all come with big toolbars to fill the spaceMajor plus: Flash work directly

Well i've been using it for a good hour now (so obviously i'm an expert) and its actually growing on me more than expected.
It feels almost as if they've managed to cut out all the bits of the browser you never use and just leave all the really useful bits.
I'm particularly liking the speed of it as well. Its lighting fast, especially for java stuff (gmail, calendars etc.)
-
it looks worth a try then,
thanks Remus -
Wow, yeah MAJOR PLUS in my book is that you can drag the tabs around to organize them. Even drag tabs between different chrome windows. Why didn't your mozilla Gods think of that? Ha! I like chrome already.
EDIT: [Feeling remarkably silly] OK, so mozila does let you drag and drop tabs within the same browser window, but not from one to another. hmmm. oops!

Anyone know whether it will be enabled for the web dialog.
-
I have been all about Firefox for the last year and loving it, but I'm now messing around using Chrome and I'm liking it so far. It is noticeably faster. I guess I'll continue to find out more the more I use it.

Chris, im not particularly technically minded but i dont think youll be able to call it up for web dialogs from SU, as SU always uses IE (on windows) and safari (on macs) to ensure that the user will always have that browser.
You never know though, those ruby magicians have been known to do stranger things...
