i am having a problem with textures in a context building of a competition i am doing. pict 1 shows the bldg how it is modelled in SUp. pict 2 shows how it is coming out of render (podium). one texture is taking over the whole thing. i entered the group and exploded everything inside it. what i got from this was just the reverse behavior: the beige texture took over instead of the reddish one.

    could anyone help with it?

I think youd be better of asking about this on the podium forum.

Edson, have you tried exploding the outside group? I know nothing about Podium, but I remember having a similar strangeness in SU and finally found I had inadvertantly given the group a texture other than the default...I guess there was an internal confusion about which material to read?

            tom,

i think you nailed the problem: it surely has been assigned a color/texture (by one of my students...). i will try exploding everything to see if it helps.
