Real man saddle
-
Dunno, Remus. It looks a bit nancy-boy to me.
This is my saddle of choice.
-
Dont know what your talking about alan, that saddle fo yours is all soft and squidy! Granite isnt going anywhere
-
So you say. Far be it from me to boast, but with me sitting on it, I give it about 3 days before it's worn down to acorn size.
-
I was thinking that this would make a nice seat.

Off Topic, Pav, why do you quote the previous post? All it does is add more lines thus more scrolling. I see a number of people doing it and it makes no sense. I can understand if one is responding to a few posts above but not directly after a post.

And yet you just did it again
Well you could not be a pain in the arse any more than a granite bike seat
-
he he, i'm such a wind up.

ride standing up. ha ha

Kinda defeats the point in i though, i mean how are you meant to be a real man when everyone knows only nancy boys ride standing up?
-
Both Alan & Remus have written "Nancy Boy". Is that common in the UK? I hadn't heard that before. I assume it means the same as saying "Girly Boy" as is more commonly said here. Why "Nancy?"
It also seems UK men seem to have a fetish thing for bicycle seats (and schoolgirl uniforms). Such fetishes don't seem as common here in North America.
-
Its not particularly common, although it is used. And yeah, it does just mean girly boy.
Ad as for the saddles (and school girl outfits), this america sounds like a very boring place, and the worst thing is you cant even drink a good beer if it really hits the fan!
-
Remus -- When you cross the pond you needn't worry about the beer. The Nancy Boys drink vodka coolers. You'll find there is a wide selection of flavours -- no doubt you'll want to try them all.
-
We use both Nancy Boy and Girly Boy. They are not quite the same as the North of England A Big Girl's Blouse, which is also a pejorative, but in a friendlier, more teasing kind of way. "No you can't have a Bacardi and Coke, you big girl's blouse. You'll have a beer with the rest of us"
-
That's quite funny. Makes you wonder how such sayings get started.
