FISKER KARMA, ECO-CHIC very nice indeed

Hi Guys,
Just learned of the Fisker Karma four-door plug-in hybrid
sports sedan due sometime next year. Its the first well
designed practical eco sports sedan I've seen. It's capable
of 50 miles with zero emissions and 0-60 in 5.8 sec, just
charge it overnight with eco electricity.Maybe a bit pricey at $80,000 but still better value than
Tesla as this has 4 full seats and the looks, bit like
Porsche's forthcoming 4 door Panamera but more sensible.http://www.fiskerautomotive.com/

but is pretty good and i don t think is too pricy IMO

James, I think that's the 2008 XK Coupe you are looking at.
The US advertised price is from $75,500, its over £70,000
in UK and I imagine well over €130,00 in Ireland. The reason
I am interested in Eco Friendly cars is because we have a
Tax here called VRT (Vehicle Registration Tax) and it jacks
up the price of a high spec car by 40/50%! But not the case
for hybrid cars

Ah, yes the saloon .... Errrrr, is that the one built on
the Ford Mondeo chassis? -
I'm only pulling your leg on the Mondeo thing .... love saying
it to Jag fans ..... they often have no answer! Yes, you are
right about the Mondeo chassis, it is a good one. However the
Karma will have its bats centred low down, should make it an
interesting drive. BTW, I emailed them re a RHD, not planned
yet
