ATI Graphic Card

Hello every one,
I just got a new computer with:
windows xp sp3,core2quad q6600,2X2G ram and ATI FireGl v3600.
Every thing works well except sketchup6.
There is a considerable lag, and the model freezes all the time, selecting and moving around isn't as fluent as it should.
I have already installed most update driver and adjusted hardware acceleration in SU.
But it didnt help.Any idea about this?

Hi gzone, welcome to the SCF.
A quick use of the search function found a couple of threads that deal with these matters.
For the some or other reason SU doesn't play nice when using ATi cards, but it can work, you might have to switch hardware acceleration off.

It has something to do with a drivers. I have had a problem with my Radeon X300 and a 'reverse face bug' even with a FIX option turned on. I have installed recently the most up-to-date driver and I cannot select a single FACE in the SU now !! Only edges
I will soon upgrade a whole computer and definitely won't buy ATI card.Tomasz
