These are all I need:

has anyone experience with these new MBT shoes, that tell us, that we walked the wrong way for the last hundret years?
I tried them on in a store - they are really comfortable and indeed force you to stand upright. but I am not sure if I want to wear these all the time. for example I have no idea how climbing stairs in this shoes feels like.
and 150 pound are a bit much for an experiment...
-
Remember the Kelso Earth Shoes of the 1970's? I used to have a pair but I don't remember if I liked to wear them. Yikes! it was over 30 years ago. They feature a 'negative heel' that was supposed to improve your posture and burn more calories (since you are always walking uphill).
Anyone else try them? They are selling them again here.
Regards, Ross

@igor: Shoes? You really ask about shoes?? You know what happens when you start speaking about shoes with a woman present? I could help you to make this thread a HUGE one... but will try my very best not to...
@solo: "Need" and "Shoe" - I will never understand how these two words can go together. There is really no need at all to have a new pair of shoes - sometimes it is just the existence of a pair of shoes that makes the "need" to own it
Today we are expecting about 95Β°F... so this will be the shoe of the day...
Cheers,
Franziska (hoping for winter just for ONE only reason... I am dying for boots) -

I think you refer to women here!
a lot of men (like myself) wear shoes until they literally die (the shoes, not the men ).
not until your toes make direct contact with tarmac, it is time to look for another pair of shoes...I know; such cruelty to lovely creatures like shoes is unreproducible for women
-
@plot-paris: yep. sometimes I believe the way to think about shoes is the fact that divides mankind in men and women...
...waiting for winter, did I mention that before... ?
(I should have taken a picture of my friend instead... staring at me photographing a boot telling him "Oh - I need that for SCF... you know, that SketchUp community I told you about...")
-
well, I can completely understand why you are waiting for winter (and I am not talking about me (surname) )
these boots are indeed beautyful.

yeah, I know. I think in the last months I reorganized my priorities in life.
- SCF
- SketchUp (in close persuit)
- Social contacts...
I know, this is sad - and a bit nerdy. but I am proud of it
-
thank you. And I completely agree with your priorities. The same with me, besides the fact that I had not much time for SU the past weeks due to some fights with CMS-software.
Proud to be nerdy, too. And proud to be addicted to shoes........

Franziska,
What do you think of this invention?
Woman Creates Collapsible High Heeled Shoes

Mike,
strange, really strange Althuogh I can understand the reason for that invention, oh yeah... but you will never see me wearing those. It's a question of aesthetics (and a question of female pride as well, maybe ) There is only one honorable solution for escaping a feet-are-burning-due-to-4 1/2"-stiletto-heels - situation: putting your shoes off and continue dancing (or - more practical for non-dancing-situations- have another flat-heeled pair in your handbag... )
-
Yeah Franziska, I agree with you. I don't think they will
catch on as they do not look good at half mast Also the
second pair of flats in the old reliable hand bag makes a
lot more sense. Where would you ladies be without your
hand bags! My good lady is so possessive of hers, I'm not
even allowed to look into it, not that I would even dream
of it ...... have far more respect for my well being -
yeah, that is the last barrier of privacy.
you know each other very well, know every freckle of her body, have been sharing a bed for years. but you are never allowed to so much as glipse into her handbag.
allthough I had a girlfriend once, who didn,t mind me looking through her handbag, when in need of a tissue. I was utterly embarrassed and felt like an intruder...

I am a big fan of Merrell footwear and my latest addition several weeks ago are these:
Real top quality and extremely comfortable.
-
There was a chap who lived down the road from us who designed merrel shoes, he once gave me a pair to test drive that looked very similar to the ones youve got dylan. Perhaps yours are an evolution of the early ones i had? (i'll try and find a pic.)

Ahhhh, 'Little Francis', I'd need a stool (to stand on) to
look into your eyes BUT Coen would have no problem even today
at your 6' 2.8"
