What do you look like?
-
Coen, I used to live a couple miles from where that picture was taken... small world.
Here is me and my daughter a few years and a few pounds ago, both of us .
-
ok. lets revive this thread.
here an image that proves my liking for everything that is remotely related to chocolate... (the image was taken about two years ago, but my face looks still pretty much the same (except for the beard ) -
Thats an impressively large jar of nutella, you have my respect
-
thanks, remus.
my brothers and me (we lived in a flatshare, studying in the same city - cool, isn't it?) only used it for nibbling in front of the television (scooping the sweet compound with tablespoons). not a single blot was wasted on bread!
-
but I look five years older with a short beard (something essential when negotiating a payraise...)
-
My birthday party last September at Cannon Beach (remember the opening scene of Spielberg's movie, Goonies?). This is about an hours drive west of Portland, OR.

Here's a resume pic a few years old, and a more recent image...not very photogenic, so I shy away from the camera.
-
Daniel .... 'not very photogenic' I would not say that.
You look quite the executive in that first picture ....
don't know about the second oneHey! where are the rest of you guys?
-
Thanks Mike. Those two are the exception - I normally look like a wet dog.

Hi Mike, hi folks.
Here is one Mugshot I saved from the old forum.
I left the name as it was saved on my hard disk so you may retrace it more easily. However, after decoding the ASCII codes (those with the % before them), the more legible name is:
SketchUper's Mug Shots [Up Date] #24.jpg
My picture is the one of the guy with a dragonfly kite (sixth row, fifth picture from the left).
Best regards.

is the case for my avatar too (even if not entirely )
???!!! A balding guy with a black eye in scruffy clothes? XD

well, eyes, nose, half of the cheeks and the prominent chin are mine.
I would never dare to shave my head though - I have a pointed head and that would look horrible (in fact this pointedness of my skull prevents me from balancing my baggadge on my head, like it is common in some civilisations. not a too big disadvantage in London though )
-
just look at my avatar pretty much. heh my parents don't care if i post up pics but say i should be careful anyway. Heres mine! I look gooood don't i?
And yes, im a mexican living in the US

Hi Modelhead, hi folks.
Yes, my avatar shows me (from behind) fying three dual lines stunt kites at the same time. Thats six lines in all. This picture was taken in 2007 during a winter kite festival. I was flying on a frozen river in the province of Quebec. These kites are not extremely large at 2.2 meters (or 7 feet) in wingspan and, since they are super ultra light (for extremely low winds, less than 5 km/h or 3 mi/h), they are not pulling very much. However, I flew slighly larger (and sturdier) kites in Dieppe, France in 2006 in 40+ km/h winds and this was a real good workout.
If you wonder how I do that, the answer is easy : each hand controls one kite with the lines attached to the ends of a stick held in the hand. The lines of the third kite are attached to each side of my waist.
The answer is easy but doing that takes some practice. Its fun though and very relaxing. I forget all of my problems when I have to split my brain in three, or four, if I talk to someone while doing this.
Just ideas.

So are you coming down to the Berkeley Kite festival on Saturday and Sunday this weekend Jean? Ray Bethel is going to be there doing his 3 kite ballet too. Maybe you could come show him a thing or two? I'll be there, though probably just watching. I also need to get some parts for my kite, so I'll bring it along, but I don't think I'm qualified to fly with most people who will be there.
