The stormy sea

Wow Mateo... you've out done yourself. This is gorgeous.
-
That's very handsome indeed, both as a model and a rendering.
My only suggestion: I think the top edge of the swells in the background should probably be a little more obscured, given the fog and and rain.

Thank You all for Your kind feedback.
Cheers,
Mateo -
Beautimus!

I like that very much. Is the boat based on any specific real life boat?

Thank Dave.

Ah. I actually meant is it based on a specific boat?
It looks to me as though it is a gaff ketch with tops'ls set. FOre and aft rigged with the main mast taller than mizzen.

Tomislav,
This is just one of the series of new techniques I have been
working on.
I used various layers from rendered to styles to natural SU.
Tweaking ,overlaying , erasing layers in order to produce
the artistic output I initially had in mind.
Nothing is as definite yet. When I eventually standardise the
desired workflow I might make a series of tutorials .
I have used here in adition to SU , Maxwell and Photoshop
but one could use any renderer or image editor for that
matter to produce similar or identical results. Here is a screenshot of PS postprocess:
Cheers,
Mateo
