Ray Ochoa- My Car WIPs and final renders
-
hey, pretty good models, ray. a few things to change (though i really shouldn't be talking, i cant make stuff like this):
the SUV is really blocky and knd of slab-sided, try adding more details
the car shown in the pictures above have been overexposed in photoshop, try taking away the lens flare.
try leaving things to render longer, they are really noisygreat models overall. the car above looks like an Audi R8 on the front and looks like a first generation dodge viper on the back. good models!

Thanks for your feedback. i uploaded it to the warehouse and not many people liked it. I don know whats wrong with it
-
i dont know why either. they're pretty dang good cars (i want to see the people who gave negative reviews make a car of superior quality; if they can, the have a right to give help, not negativity).
-
after looking at the actual car'r reviews, i have found that people seem to like it. one said it "wasnt as good as your previous cars", but thats just something to improve upon. its called constructive critisism. you got a five star, two four star and only one three star ratings, that averages to a four star rating, thats not bad.
heck, only one of my models has been rated at all! almost all of yours have been rated, you're pretty popular on the warehouse.
-
igor, i maybe took it too hard its just that im kinda used to 5 star ratings on ALL my cars so a low shot was kinda taken a bit bad but oh well. I gotta improve on something. I don't think im popular on the warehouse i mean im lucky to get 3 or 4 ratings. Thanks for your kind words

another car...

Does anyone know wut i should model next? Im a lil BLANK right now.

Hi Ray,
It's not that I want to be rude and likewise I don't mean to be hard on you, but to be honest, I really don't like these renders...
KT can easily do much better, but you need to learn how to use the tool...It seem as if you've been applying wrong materials - at least the glass material for the lights seem to be wrong, but also the metal seem to be wrong...
It's not that I want to hijack your thread, but there's a few things you can do to improve your render capabilities a lot...
Please take a look at my Ford Mustang thread...
I'm sure you note the difference, but you can easily learn how to achieve a similar result...At the KT Forum you can get the KT Forum you can take a look at the Frederik's studio lighting setup (really, Clipi's) thread and download some good "studios" to make such renders...
Looking forward to see an update on this...

Thanks Fredrik. i would like to know where i can get this material. BTW: i use the car paints materials on my cars. I don see what da problem is plz explain

You can get the Basic glasses from our repository...
Try to use the Thin Glass material instead...@rayochoa said:

I didn't mention anything about the car-paint material... That might be OK, but the lightning of your scene doesn't look so good and doesn't compliment the overall impression of your scene...
Please don't take this the wrong way... All I want to is try to help you achieve better results...
-
and i appreciate it. The thing is that i didn't make an interior for either car so i did not want to put a thin glass one on. thats it. For the scene i used plastic on a screen what would u recomend?
-
I don't mind the dark glass as windows/wind screens on the car, and haven't mentioned these...
However, the glass material used on the front- and rear- lights look strange because of the dielectric glass material you've used...
Not sure the Thin Glass will do the trick for you, but you should at least try it and see what difference it makes...@rayochoa said:

Actually I wouldn't use anything beside a color in the Diffuse channel...
But again, I suggest that you download some of the lightning studios and check the material settings in these... -
actually fred, i used thin glass on the lights glass . i just colored the lighs kinda chrome
-
Maybe theres a problem with my thin glass is it on the basic pack or do i download it elsewhere?
-
B-Ray,
Bring the action -- Night light cool.
I've been thinking bout driving at night lately, the way it sometimes seems unreal, real -- you know?
A connection to a larger universe -- a huge narrative -- your action is about that vibe -- I feel the city here.

That should be OK...
But I also posted a link to the Basic glasses, which you can download from our repository...I suppose it's then a combination of the metal material you've used, lightning and the render preset you used...
Did you try downloading one of the lightning studios I linked to..??
I'm positive that you will get a better result using the Fletch/Rogers light studio... -
i downloaded it alredy. Ill use it on my next car. The basic glasses is alredy on my computer

What are you trying to say?
-
Here's another concept i got finished at in like 3 hours
P.S. I used your scene Fredrick
-
RayOchoa,
Your work is inspired, very cool regardless of the Jack bird details of your renders.
Very nice.
It reminds me of just enjoying the four wheel universe.
