            Thanks again guys.

I have recieved a few emails and PM's regarding how I create my base shapes which in essence is the main mesh which once created can be tweaked to create a character. So here is a quick idea of how I create my base forms.
I firstly make a rough form using rectangular polygons and pull and shape to a rough shape of what I am trying to achieve. I then use the magic plugin called Subdivide and smooth which turns my angular form to an organic one.

See clip below of the beginning of Patrick star of Spongebob fame.

            http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/3264/28903428ic7.gif

Now that you have a base model you can use the sizing tool, JPP, FFD, sandbox tool, etc to smooth, warp and manipulate the mesh to create the details.

The Patrick star really makes me smile.
The rendering also is really good. The softness will definitely appeal to children.

If I get the time I will do Squidworth and Mr. Krabb, I am busy with a few of my own characters at moment.
