      inspiration from freds constant tinkering, a TIN sphere.
      easy to make, and quite satisfying too!

      not sure quite how useful this is after the implementation of FFD and SubSmooth, but here it is anyway!
      you can get some nice effects using the smoove tool.

              it's a very quick one as i am at work, i shall do a more detailed one when i get time.

              also, the last few scenes do not have TIN squares on, just filled geometry to save time..

                Cheers for the tut, but ifim allowed could i suggest another method?

                its kind of cheating, but if you start making a sphere as you normally would, but select the 2 circles (before oyu use follow me) right click->explode to curve. If you then keep making the sphere as normal.

                Once youve done that, and cleaned everything up, just select the faceted sphere and use the subd tool. Probably a bit faster than the TIN thing...
