Things that really piss you off
-
Thats quite a pessimistic view of things, bruce.
Although its arguably correct, we will never get anything done if we only concentrate on the negative aspects. For example, how can we ever hope to improve on vaccines (sorry to bring it up again) if we only concentrate on the bad stuff about them.
-
Remus,
Is this thread meant for each of us to tell 'The things that really piss us off'?Yeah? Allright...Here's mine:
What really pisses me of is that: There is a global agreement on the human influence on global warming...but no-one seems to care. (at least as far as I see, Belgium and its people are really ignoring the whole thing.) Makes me mad
-
You guessed right kwist That annoys me as well, all our government seems to be able to do is to tax everything that seems to be polluting anything.
-
that is because global warming is a load of old bollocks.
i don't believe in it in the slightest.
HOWEVER i do agree with recycling, that seems to make sense.

Fundamentalists who repeatedly try to introduce the Chritian religion into public schools (intelligent design, bible studies, etc.).
Idiots who get their panties in a wad because someone says "happy holidays" and not "Merry Christmas".
Pundits from both sides of the political spectrum who fill the airwaves with their stupid hate speech, and the people who lap it up.
People who don't vote.
Contractors who don't follow the plans, or make decisions themselves.
The TBN channel.
Pat Robertson.
The neighbor who keeps throwing his trash into the ditch in front of my house.
(I know what you mean, Remus. The reason for the increase in autism diagnosis is because more and more "conditions" now fall under that category).
-
The Bush administration .... 'nuff said.
-
Daniel, id have to agree with prety much all of those, although im not sure about the neighbours who throw trash in your trench, they dont seem to do that to me
-
It is threads like this one THAT REALLY PISS ME OFF!!!
Only kidding. Life is too short to be angry about anything. Anger only brews more anger. All of us are capable of controlling how we respond to the world around us -- anger is about as self indulgent as we can get. Rise above it. Make love not war.
-
Thats all well and good ross, but sometimes you just want to break something
-
Break something? I can count on the fingers of one hand all the times in the last 25 years that I've been angry about something. I am, as Jerry Seinfeld would say, "the master of my domain".

women who smoke.....
women who smoke while pregnant.....
men / women who smoke around children.....No, I don't smoke; not enough time between drinks.....
-
People who bitch about my smoking
People who bitch about other people smoking
People that piss me off that continue to inhaleNo just kidding...I would love to quit smoking but that means I would have to find a way to reduce stress without a smoke in my hand.
The things that piss me off:
People who drive 5 under the speed limit in the fast lane.
People who drive with their blinker on for miles.
People who can not give their spare change to the guy ringing a bell around Christmas.
People who park in handicap parking but practically jog into the mall.Alright now I need a smoke to calm down......cough cough

Bell ringers piss me off when I first hear them. Then when I've walked to the store from the car I want to kill them.
The only time I'd ever give money to a bell ringer would be to pay them to stop.

huge SUVs, and the way that lots of american car manufacturers seem to offset any improvement in engine eficiency by making the car itself larger.

People who smoke in restaurants. No longer a problem, as smoking in reastaurants was banned in Belgium a couple of years ago. Mind you, I'm a smoker myself.

Coen gave a "precise date" when he was supposed to release the news of SU7. I think he now wishes he gave a "rough date" instead.
