      Hi Guys,

      I've jsu come across MAKE3D http://make3d.stanford.edu/

      Quote
*'Make3D converts your single picture into a 3-D model, completely automatically.

It takes a two-dimensional image and creates a three-dimensional "fly around" model, giving the viewers access to the scene's depth and a range of points of view. After uploading your image, you can "fly" in the 3-D scene (requires VRML viewer or Adobe Shockwave), or watch a rendered 3-d movie (flash required). Visit 3-D Gallery, Hall of fame, or signup to upload your photograph.

      How does it work?
It uses powerful machine learning techniques to learn the relation between an image and its 3-d structure. The team led by Ashutosh Saxena and Andrew Y. Ng has made the code available for non-commercial use

Make3D was created by Ashutosh Saxena, Prof. Andrew Y. Ng, and other team members of the Stanford 3D Reconstruction Group.'*

I've signed up and uploaded a photo. They will in time send an email advising where I can pick it up. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. BTW, I had to download a viewer but it was no big deal.

      Mike

Did you try this out Alan? I got the email advising that the
process was completed and my 3D picture was available for viewing.

          It turned out okay πŸ‘
