The designer of this item (Mitchell Joachim), a multi-degree student (well, now a Doctor of various architectural things) from across the river (MIT) also won the Evolo skyscraper competition a few years back with a skyscraper that moves people through its "systems" by peristalsis...the way your bowels move...ummmm...stuff around. Since then, I've come to believe he has a uniquely nasty view of the human race (think about it!) and I haven't been able to take him seriously. He was supposed to be "working with Frank Gehry" on some kind of vehicle concept (a car?) but I mentioned that to a friend in Gehry's office and she said she had never heard of him.

        Here's his website: http://www.archinode.com/
