          Dear Gidon,

          My pleasure!

By the way, where are you located in Israel? I spent a happy 6 months at Or-Haner http://www.jfqc.org/kibbutz2.htm in 1972 working as a volunteer. I remember the Kibbutz playing host to a group of Brazilians, and most of them attractive young women. Ahhh! Memories!!

          Regards,
          Bob

            I'm in Tel-Aviv.
It's a pity we don't have that much wood in Israel. Wood houses are rare in Israel because traditionaly, people built their homes from the materials they found around them and I this part of the world that means stone. But stone can't hold a candle to the insulating properties of wood and it's also much harder to work with. I wish we had vast forests of timber.
            Oh well 😒

Bob, Those are fascinating to look over. It's like looking into the minds of the craftsmen who built up those techniques over thousands of years of trial and error, intuition and a bit of science.

I don't anticipate building in timber frame, or even having access to timbers like that, but if I do, I'll know where to go.

              Thanks,

                John,

Yes, it is great resource, and something to model when one wants to relax but cannot think of anything really useful to do.

                Regards,
                Bob
