      Hi Guys,

I'm glad to see that there is a positive move on this
      development, the Aeroscraft, http://www.gizmag.com/go/8132/

They will trip along at around 160 mph, fast enough really,
especially going from Europe to USA as the body clock will
      be able to keep up.

There will be another huge advantage, these crafts will not
need massive airport facilities and of course they will use
      much less fuel.

I like the idea of a leisurely trip, possibly over night while
taking in a movie, a nice meal and some drinks in the bar while
checking out the great views. What's the rush! Traveling should
      be fun πŸ˜‰

      Mike

It is an interesting idea and would be good to see catch on, although I do like to get to my destination asap!

Dylan, I only partly agree with you. I have found that
our bodies are not geared for say, 15 hours trips from
UK to CA and back within a week! It takes me a couple
of days after arriving to get into the swing of this and
the same when I get back.

I'd much prefer to take my time and overnight (2 days) a
trip like this and be tuned in when I arrive.

Travel should be enjoyed not suffered!

              Mike

Although this looks like great fun, i cant really see it catching on in a commercial sense. For the most part i tihnk people are willing to spend a few uncomfortable hours to get to their destiantion quickly, even if it does mean being jet lagged.

Saying that, id buy one if i had 40 million spare πŸ‘

Have you thought that with this type of air transport
it might be possible to have 'pick-ups' in towns and
cities that are not located near airports. This would
                  a huge time saver.
