In my sketchup-model I have and some scenes, which make a nice movie if you play it as an animation in sketchup. When I export the model to a kmz file , it includes these scenes, but the place of the camera in Google Earth ain't the same as in Sketchup. They're placed much further away than in Sketchup. Does anybody has this problem too and know why this is?
      Thanx in advance. JJ

        Hi JJ,

I don't know what causes this but there is a way to fix it: when opening the KMZ file in GE, you can actually edit the "scenes" (camera views). Right click on them and a window will opne. Now you can zoom in to your needs and update the selected placemark. Do the same with each. I know this is tedious but at least there is a workaround.

If you wanted to share the model this way in the warehouse, from the website you can now upload kmz files, too. They will appear without the downloadable SKP file.

Thanx Gaieus, I'll fix it with your workaround. So I assume you don't have the same problem, the camera is in Sketchup on the same place as it is in GE?

I haven't modelled anything for GE for a long while so I cannot tell. I might give it another shot one of these days as I have plans to use it for certain purposes though.
