Musical Score to live your life by
-
You know movies have ruined daily life for me. I realize how valuable it would be to have a musical score punctuating my every action, explaining my life musically, cueing me to how I should feel about each new situation.
Don't you feel that there is something missing now that we know what life should be like musically?

maybe everything is music Susan, standing at the base of a cascading waterfall you hear music, standing on a busy street corner you also hear music, the choice of music is yours.

John, why are you being deep when I am being shallow?
Kris, up until the end, that is exactly what I meant.

The music of my life is 'Dadada' by Trio...
Right now I'm listening to the Talking Heads sing 'Once in a lifetime'. Pretty much the same song as Dadada.
Same as it ever was.

No matter what I think I'm listening to, nor what I momentarily might like to be my personal "musical score," I suspect my real theme song is simply "Another Brick in the Wall" by Pink Floyd. And I don't even like that band.
...except, sometimes, it might be Jethro Tull's "Thick as a Brick" instead.

Neil Young's Cortez the Killer always gives chills - no mater how many times I play it. To me it shows that music can reach right into the depths of our being and resonate. With that song it is the song itself that has that effect because I found the Dave Matthews Band version every bit as powerful.
Another song that does it for me is Bob Marley's No Woman No Cry.

I think I would want John Williams to write a personal score for me. Something very variable to cover all manner of social and emotional situeations. Or maybe whoever it was who wrote the score for Star Trek the Next Generation. I love that score. At any rate I would want something heroic and epic. Maybe it would transform me accordingly.
