Does anyone know where I can find a site like 'Youtube' to host video that does not compromise the quality as they do? File sizes around 20mb in .avi format.

Have you tried Google Video hosting?
http://video.google.com/I haven't but they might not compromise your file qualities (yep, I should try it, too).
It says that through the web surface you can upload videos up to 100 Mb (each) - bigger files should be uploaded by their desktop uploader.
This sounds like they do not comromise your 20 something Mb files.
