I fail to see the humor.
-
sarcasm is also a kind of humour.

I will ignore what I suspect is a pattern of anti western mentality and assume the author was intending to draw attention to the Wests penchant for blind justice....
-
And also a good sign of sense of humour is when someone can also laugh at himself.
If I wanted to open a political debate, would not have posted in this topic. -
I 'think' it's meant to make a somewhat serious point.
The East can make women anonymous [and mysterious at the same time], but they can still see the woman's soul through her eyes.
The West can make women anonymous by concentrating on 'their body' whilst ignoring their eyes and thereby their individuality as a human-being.
The eyes are the path-way-to-the-soul after all...
Neither is right - neither is wrong.
If you bonk a woman and you can see her eyes it's quite different than if she's blindfolded!
[In my limited experience!!]
Lighten up here folks !

Bring it, Rich!
It's just intended as an ironic picture (In this thread's context). Other than that I don't think it's so clever, coherent, or relevant. For one thing, the generalization is huge. "East" seems to have meant anything to the left of Gaieus (well since 1990) - Russia, "Mid-east", India, China, Japan, Polynesia... and what is west and east here?

This really should be in the fine design thread....but

Been there done that. I worked on a few landscape crews during college and that was our standard resting chair.

Well, I still work at archaeological excavations now and then - and do this all the time (now as it's not me who has to dig).
Also, you can lean back to get the wheel down and then it's nice lying in that wheelbarrow
