I guess 37 pages back is a decent enough statute of limitations Alan.

http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=324076#p324076Ooops! I must have been on vacation then. Still, 217 pages has to be some kind of record.

Indeed Alan.
I am a member of a trumpet forum as well, have been for much longer than here. There was a thread started then almost immediately the author resended his message and changed the title to Ignore This Post as he did not have permissions to delete it entirely. It used to be the longest thread I ever saw as people used it for anything and everything while "ignoring" it. It has now 2,248 replies and was started in 2006. I am so proud of our accomplishments with this thread being 2 years younger and over 1000 posts longer. I think I will put this on my resume.

Pete, that's not even to close to funny, it's extremely disgusting.

There are people in all belief systems who will misrepresent for their own gain, this is no different.
I think the use of the Star Trek cast was funny though. I wish Picard had said something in the end. -
I love the end !
Now I'm just waiting for somebody to call me and ask for my 1000 seed ... I have the weapons ready -

That is not mean't to offend, even Christians find that funny (these folks are part of a small minority that use religion to scam the stupid), so the Star trek edit was funny...at least I thought.

Pete I didnβt think it was funny; I thought it was sad and not because of the Star trek stuff. It made me sad because between the group of men that spoke asking for money I'll be willing to bet that thousand dollars that they have well over a thousand sucky ties between them like shown! Iβm a Christian but I also respect nonbelievers. One thing is for sure, we will all find out one day! I often wonder how I will be judged for buying needless things when so many would be overwhelmingly happy with just the scraps that go in my trash.

But this is obviously illegal ... I'm shocked that they are allowed to perform on public television and nobody takes measures.
Is it religion a excuse for avoiding the law ? -

I agree with you, but how does one prosecute this, they will just argue it's faith based, and show you interpreted scriptures then wave their 1st ammendment (corrected) right. There is no winning unless you catch them conspiring, red handed, etc. Like faith healing, there are many scammers, but the arguement when you are not healed is that your faith was not strong enough.
The bible is a book that is very self serving, you can commit any attrocity using it in context, and the shamless often do.
