Your image reminded me of a pic I had laying around.
-
haha..very nice eric
these were the 'inspiration'.. not sure i like the lower angle of the one? and the lack of visible 'hangers'..but i guess that's the idea..i duuunnoo... i'll make a few more options.
-
You should put some hooks on the ornaments!
-
Thanks for the link cheffey, however I was enquiring if he needed one ( I was ambigious) I have one in the 'available models' section on my not so well laid out site. (link below)
-
ok...here's my next pass... need to make the 'logo ball' pop a bit more.. still messing with decals in maxwell...not sure what color to make that ball...maybe orange.. but put a white box behind my logo? also need to work on the placement of the logo...anyone good with projectors in maxwell??? b/c i'm not! haha..
-
This is getting better and better.
My only remark, and you pointed it out yourself already, would be that the most important ball is blending too much in the background. So I would change its color (eightball black? / a golden ball?) or change the background color... -
Change either the background or the white ball green. Altogether it would make perfect Hungarian colours---
But seriously, green is always the colour of Christmas, too. Evergreens are the symbols of eternal life (therefore the ivy for the dead or the pine for Christmas).
Green is also the colour of a pool table.
-
Gaeius referred to a pool table....
Why not making a nice 'green fluffy pool table surface' as background and keep the silver ball?
-
yeah....maybe i'll try it.. i kind of dig the white reflective surface though..maybe i'll try the ball as green.. right now, with it being silver, my logo is blending anyway... i'm working on one now with an orange ball (my logo is orange)... but i'm having difficulty with the mapping in maxwell maybe i'll try to project it on in sketchup to make it a little easier. thanks guys!
-
It's very interesting to follow this development...
Could be fun - if you care to share the SU model - to see what render results others would be able to achieve...
I can only imagine what Solo and Kwistenbiebel could make with their artistic skills...Cheers
Kim Frederik -
..are you crazy?? i dont want them showing me up!! haha..
-
ugh...getting little to no help on this in the maxwell forum might have to figure something out in sketchup
-
ok..figured out the mapping of my logo...BUT..now i dont really seem to be getting the highlights i got in my initial test same HDRI, same material, and same settings.. kinda frustrating.. and i dont get it.. guess i need to play with the materials more
here are a couple more test... the red is looking alot like the orange on the logo ball, so i tried changing it up..i dunno
(changed the reflectance in this one to try to get some highlights....)
-
The middle one is very good IMHO. Maybe add some holly in there and you are set.
-
I like last one, but swop colors having red balls and one green one.
-
the middle one is kinda cool..i agree...especially next to the other two that are really FLAT! not really sure what is going on, but my original file..which has the exact same settings all around (materials, environment, etc) still renders with the highlights..like the other image..so i've pulled that back out and replaced some of the objects with the new ones..and it seems to be rendering correctly now.. no idea what is up with that? but anyway..i'll have an update shortly.
hmm..ivy..not a bad idea.. trying to keep this really clean, but i might try that thanks eric.
-
ok.. here is an update..(no level changes in pshop) whatta you think?
taking eric's cue, and running one now with a bit of evergreen off to the left.. not really sure on the placement..maybe it needs to be on the right..
-
I like it.
It says a " i am an individual"
how about adding ore reflection to the logo ball so that it shines brighter than the rest, this time giving the message, i am an individual and i am brighter than y'all.
-
yeah..i might try changing the light source to the right to highlight that ball more.. its defintely lacking...
here's one with some evergreen.. not feeling it though..crappy composition..
-
Actually it may just work if you made he logo ball green, the image would have balance.
