Wow Paul, your modeling skills are really good.(both church as that latest project) and i must say whaat captured it really well in Inndigo....

For a moment I though that real photo was the next of Whaat's renderings 😄
Great job Whaat! (and thank you for Skindigo which works really well !!)

A couple of people have PM'd me asking for the model, so for a limited time I'll put it on the su.porta.ca site. Its large so I don't want to use the space for too long.

Thanks so much for sharing these models, Paul!

Here's an (almost) one-click render from Indigo. The only things I did was add the ground plane, adjust the camera angle, and add a little reflection to the windows. This one cooked for about 25 minutes.

Here's another that I let cook for just under an hour. Just added an environment map that I found for free on the net and did a bit of post-pro to adjust the exposure and add some slight bloom.

Woh, that was quick of you, looking good, could you do one of the entrance area, I'm interested as to how that would come out.

Do you want to see the real thing?

Go to http://maps.live.com You'll probably have to be using internet explorer.
Change the search criteria to 'Location' and enter the following address:
"54 north street, lurgan, northern ireland, uk"

Change to 'Birds eye' view and there you go.

Hope you don't mind I ran your church through Podium, using noisy settings for 30 passes (about 9 minutes)

threw in a sky and logo in PSP.

I opted not to render an exact model, rather to change up the textures for another look (this way it doesn't seem like a challenge rather a rendering of a fantasticly modelled church)

They look good to me too. The viewpoint make them look a bit spooky-traditionally this kind of architecture is presented in a 2-point perspective.

Whaat, those are awesome, the first one looks like a photo. My rig ain't strong enough to smoothly navigate the interior, you did another fine job of that too. I especially like the lighting.
can Indigo do bloom? as having sunlight filter through the stained glass with a bloom effect would be amazing.

Thanks! To me, the second one looks more like a photo. I was trying to get a flashbulb type effect. I am going to try to tweak the stained glass material to get more contrast and less light bleeding (like the photo Paul provided.)

Yes, Indigo can do bloom. However, it is not efficient for Indigo to calculate bloom during a render. That's why there is no option to turn on bloom in the SkIndigo interface. It is better to add it in post-pro using 'Violet' (stand alone Indigo tonemapper application available on the Indigo website).

                                          Fantastic Images guys.

One of my collogues pointed something out whilst looking at the last 2 images and I couldn't resist.......
                                          .
                                          Edit:
Removed an image that could have/was misconstrued, I was trying to make a funny regarding the difference between the 2 rendering styles in the images above but seemed to have missed the mark a little.
