Here's a render done in Kerkythea.

The boats were made my J-m@n in SketchUp. πŸ˜‰

Here's the link to the final high-res version.

            A beautiful picture.

My only concern is that the boat to starboard should let the mainsheet out a bit or it could have an unexpected jibe.

I have read some posts in the Kerky forums that people would really like to have "real" sun in the renders. Then others said they would not take photos against the sun either so there is no real need.

Now in this picture however, a setting sun would be extremely nice! But it certainly is beautiful without it, too.

              Gai...

I imagine you could fake a sun in the distance using a really bright light source and the right technique... Its just a matter of making it look right.

I tried a fake sun once using a super strong emmiter on a flat plane, but it didn't work as well as planned. As for self made suns, I think that's way out of my leauge. 😳

Ps. Thanks for all the compliments! πŸ˜„

Such a "fake" sun would probably need to be so far (thus so big) that it would be hard to give enough light to it. If it is closer, the reflections on the water would reveal the trick for ithey wouldn't start in the infinity.

If very badly needed, you can add something like that in PS I guess (I can in Corel Photopaint and it's an old release...)
