My first SU model
-
This is my first SU model. It's very much function over form. Not anything like some of the really nice stuff I see here. But it's my first one and so I thought what the heck. It's simple but it illustrates exactly what I needed it to. I tried to gve it some color, suppose to be almost black, but when printed it I lost all the detail. The spring tensioned money clips were a challenge but after a lot of trial and error I'm pretty happy with the result.

Jim, looks to be excellent detail (but I couldn't get the enlarged pic to open
Still, good work, Tom.

Hmmm....It opened for me, though slowly. Perhaps the file size is larger than it should be?
-
Sorry: should've said I did get the little red "x" in a gift box...so I guess it did open, just wouldn't display?
Anyone else having trouble...if not I really need to fix what's broken!?!
-
It is not opening on mine either. I am getting the same result as Tom.
Maybe if you reduce the image size to around 1200 pix wide at 72 dpi it will work better.Looks great for your first model. Good job. Much better than my first model

No need to apologize. This one worked like a charm. Nice detail by the way. I really like it
-
Thank you. I'm having a great time learning SU!
-
Fun, isnt it
-
"got it" me too...thought right and more! Great job, Tom.

That Is a nicely well done first SU model. But be careful you might find SU addictive and before you know dinner is burnt and the sun is coming up. But the up side is one day you think it will take hours to get a part to look like you would like it to and βbamβ dinner isnβt burnt and the sun is still up and you just set there looking at a completed item and think of what to work on next.
