Hi,
this bar has very little 3d elements in it.
All those doors and windows are just 2d Autocad lines, applied on single faces.
Same mo for the walls and the cabinets above the bar.
Saves time and keeps the model light to handle.
-
That's a nice one, Tony! I like the bar (actually, I like bars in general )
Yet if you want to render it in some external renderers this way you may get a bunch of back faces which may not render at all.
But I guess with this model that's not your goal anyway.

Simple and still so beautiful!
Thanks for sharing, Tom.How'd you get the carpet fading effect (really nice)...not in SU I assume?
-
Tom,
everything is Sketchup, no other software involved.
The floor is a single face with an Autocad hatch pattern applied to it.
The fading is the result of the applied sketchy style with depth cue on. -
That is really good stuff there. Thanks for sharing.
-
question, did you use a downloaded style? if so, what one, I rather like the look of those sort of sketchy edges!
looks like a great place to be and have a few! thanks for sharing!
-
Will,
no downloaded style, just one of the styles included in the package. -
wow..that really does look awesome. .. the power of styles!
REVI21ON visualization

More so, the power of styles and someone who knows how to use them.
I have screwed up many images trying to match the style to the... style. -
Eric,
the trick is to know that not every project is a candidate for a sketchy style.
The moment I feel the slightest doubt, I quit styling.
This one felt right for the job, from the very beginning.
