Tom, the sky is fantastic and the colors are great but the image seems to be too wet, if that makes sense. A little too blotchy. Still a great image though.

I really like the look, can you direct me to where i can understand your process, how much is SU based or post processed?

I tried using PS water color and it looks crap, you have it down so well.

          Great work.

Blows me away. What software are you using? The faint guidelines really make it look like a hand-drawn and painted surface.

Thanks a bunch, guys. I'm putting together a tut (it's all filter work in PSP) but most of it came from Grant's and Ross' tuts on the old forum. Here's another...toned down a bit:

On second thought I think a full tut from me would be presumptuously premature (say that three times with three marbles). But here's how I do the DWC layer. I start with a edgeless SU export (obvious where some of my color problems start):

                  http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/sas/Gallery/tn_PP-m.jpg

This is screened by a dup'd layer above to gimp down the colors and lighten the image). Once merged I soften a couple of times, then hit it with a free Xero filter called Caravaggio (I think this step I added to the Guru's tuts cuts the sometimes "contrived" look of Pyramid Paint). Next is Pyramid Paint from KPT (I got mine from a trial of PS). After a couple of softens it's BeyondEdger4, free from DC. Finally I hit it with a de-sat to cut the color back again (usually not enough the first time :`), to get this:

From then on it's working with the other SU image export layers and personal preferences (I'm still looking for mine). I use PSP, but same in PS...except you have better brushes and such.

Tom, I was reading an article on Ralph Rapson (sp?) last night, talking about his sketches. Don't know what it was about them, but they made me think of your work.
