Hey guys, I wanted to share with you that my wife and I have found a house in the outskirts of Boulder that we're very excited about and are under contract to buy. It is a true diamond in the rough...the neighborhood far outclasses this house, but we have renovations in mind. Here's a model that I made this week as a start. I've modeled some interior segments in a separate model, and I have plenty of work left to do. 😄 I too, love using SketchUp!!

This model is kind of a beginning and also designed for us in Google Earth (i.e. it's fairly "light"). I will be adding a lot more detail to the exterior, along with the current landscaping, then I'll begin work on future plans for exterior and landscape. The interior is a separate project that will help us remodel and update the living space. I'll share it as it goes!

Let me know what you think! ...and be gentle...I don't get to spend as much time using SketchUp for projects as I'd like! 😉

      Cheers,

      - Craig D

That is nice Craig. I am sure you and your wife will enjoy it as well as enjoy making additions.
I like the low roof pitch and thanks for the brick texture. Nice and sketchy.

I can almost see the waterproofing dripping of the deck, is it really that green?

          hi craig,

one can feel your enthusiasm about the house! and you are quite right, too. living in a place made to fit one's needs is really great. congratulations.

it does not really matter what we think about the house as it is now. it will become your house when you finish remodelling it.

if i can be of any help during the design phase, please let me know. i would be glad to give you an opinion.

best wishes for your house and family.
