Caffe bar help

Ok people,I need help or suggestion.I have to make idea for one caffe bar.Problem is that it is placed in the village and it is old like 40 years.So it is kind of a center building of village and inside it is caffe bar wich looks dissasterous.Caffe bar has square shape and now one guy want to invest in that caffe bar and make modern caffe bar.I need only suggestion how to make it.Did anyone made some modern caffe bar and I would be gratefull if someone can show me images of how it is done

I'm sure you'll get a lot of insets / opinions here, but the best thing to do is to commission a local architect to do the design and drawings for you.

If you really want ideas then I suggest that you post some photos of the existing building (inside and out) and a simple floor plan as a sketchup file. It is hard to respond without knowing the physical constraints imposed by the existing building. Presumably, there will be customer toilets, a need to store consumables and a rest area for staff, so these should be included in your floorplan sketch. What about the cafe front? Does this need to be remodelled so that it blends well with the surrounding buildings. If so then post photographs of typical shop fronts.

Also, in addition to what Bob says, you could tell us where exactly the project is and maybe even a couple of photos of the environment. I guess it would be nice if the whole atmosphere of the new design fit into its history and surroundings.
