Comparing Max & KT
-
here is the same sobject rendered whit Max and K. k takes more time but good result
-
does anyone knows what is better setting to export best to max , and how could reach smoot result ( for glass here )... and the best render setting (max & K )???
thanx -
k has some problems Huge dimentions r not displayed good ( and also very small sizes) ....how to fix it
-
majid,
i suppose u have used scanline render option for 3dMax?? KT uses a different apprach from the 3dmax scanline render.. it takes into account GI (global illumination) if u were to use Vray or Mray for max the results would be similar to what see in KT.i dont know much bout importing to max but for KT i suggest using Su2KT (which i am sure u are using! )
the problem u mentioned about KT not showing large objects or very small objects is an issue of the Open GL. if u are using su2kt and render from the cam positions it should be fine.. only thing is the viewer inside KT would be all messed up..
another small thing.. if rendering HUUUUGE scenes i would suggest using Unbiased render methods such as PPT or BPT or MLT. thats becoz PM+FG has certain limitations for rendering huuuge meshes..

thanx .
and what r those abbr.? pm (photon map ) bpm?... -
PM = photon mapping,
PPT = path tracing (progressive)
BPT = bidirectional path tracing
MLT = Metropolis Light Trasferthese are the different render presets available in KT! the best of both biased and unbiased worlds!

Are these renders all done from the same file without adjustment to the lighting after exporting from SU? KT looks by far the best, but I find it hard to believe it is the same lighting scheme. However my only experience is with KT for automated renders.
-
the ligh emiter KT r faces , but Max .point lights
... -
just ...
-
here is the reality ( camera), kt is more real!!!
-
majid,
How experianced are you with 3D max?
-
here is kt again
-
i dont know max 2 much just rendering ( and somtimes lighting)
-
I'm neither a Max or a KT user, but I feel the need to add something nonetheless. I'm like that. Ask me mum.

here is my last render using su+kt , retouched @ ps
-
for some, put a chisel and hammer in their hand and you will get "David", others, you will get dust.
my point?
One may not judge any render engine by seeing another user's first attempts. They may only judge the user's attempts. -
really good and true poit u have . btw kt is more easy to use and good result 4 me (and i guess other who r new in 3d rendering!) . thanx again Fletch
