... at the top. I have been waking quite a bit lately as well as parking at the top of the parking deck, 5th floor, and walking not riding the lift. I walked up there about an hour ago to look around downtown and noticed how much cleaner the stairs are the higher you go. The parking deck is in the middle of downtown Huntsville, a block from the court house. There are restraunts, bars and clubs around as well as law offices galore. The amount of dirt, grime, gum and beer bottles that accumulate in the stairwells is amazing.

Good job Eric! Making little life changes to enhance your physical exercise is great! AND, the added bonus is getting to use the "clean" stairs! πŸ˜‰

        Keep up the good work!

        Cheers,

Yes, the little things make a difference. Mind you, I did get some pretty wierd looks from the people on the escalator in a local department store yesterday, as I overtook them on the stairway...running up two stairs at a time. πŸ˜‰

live on the third floor (and then on the fourth and occasionally also go to the sixth - the attick) but never use an elevator (well, there is no elevator in our building... πŸ˜„ )
But I also do not have a car and I walk everywhere in town within about a 5 kilometre range if I have to go somewhere.
It often amazez me how much people tend to drive even knowing they can hardly find a parking lot downtown. And then when they finally find one, sometimes they walk more than they should from the bus stop for instance.

find myself counting every step as well. I have always done that, as far back as I can remember. It is 82 steps to the top if I enter on the North end and 87 if I enter on the South.

I also went for a walk around the lake and waterway here in Huntsville at lunch. On the way back I was curious as to how many steps it would take to get back to the office from the farthest point out. 1704. Whew and it was hot today too.

That doesn't sound very healthy counting steps and such. The term obsessive-compulsive spring to mind... Normalcy depends one's POV though. It's OK, I'll still hang with you ppl though! πŸ˜„

Oh yeah, I am all about the OCD ❗

                  How does the song go?

                  "I'm down with OCD"
                  "Yeah you know me"
