      I'm trying to create an avatar. I have Photoshop Elements and Picasa 2. Problem is I can get the re size down to the legal limit. Help please.

            Ok, well I don't have either of those programs, but if Elements is anything like photoshop, you should be able to crop the image with the marqee tool and then image/crop, or the crop tool. Resizing should be as easy as going into image/image size and putting in a width/height. From there, you can save it down to .jpg or even .gif if it's not a photo. If it has a "save for web" like photoshop, use that and pick the 4 views. Pick the one that is smallest and looks best.

                what i did was to import the image to sketchup and then saved as jpg. in the window of saving there´s an adjust for the pixel´s size.

                  %(#80BF40)[Thanks to all, once I turned on "resample image" in Photoshop, it then allowed me to edit the pixel size of the image.
                  Now I can play "fun with avatar's".
