The LapStrap, a bit pricey at $25 but useful never the less.

Hmmm... that internal strap bit would probably hit the power button on my laptop... and I suspect it would scratch the screen of all laptops.

I could not use that, it offers no protection to your comp!

I don't like getting any scratches on mine πŸ˜„

Yep, I have to agree with you. But I think the thinking
behind the product. Its for when you need to take your
lappie from one office to another .... I think!

Maybe the Shoreline bags are a more sensible bet πŸ˜‰ I've
used one of these for carrying the old Dell lappie around
but its not a snug enough fit for the MacBook Pro πŸ˜„

I thought you just needed a Jiffy Envelope for the MacBook? πŸ˜„

I use a padded Fedex envelope, the kind with the plastic bubbles, for my big laptop. As a plus, no one who looks in my paratrooper bag sees a laptop there!

They might steal it anyway as it might look to be stuffed

                    Hi folks.

I wonder if the strap thickness will not put some strain on the hinges/lock, depending on the model of the laptop.

My preference would go for a padded carrying case to avoid scratching, denting and otherwise damaging such a valuable piece of equipment.

                    Just ideas.

Jean, i cant iamgine it puttign enough strain on the laptop to do any damage. Unless of course you start swinging it around and trying to club people with it, but then i suppose its going to incur some damage anyway...

Well that is how I would use it.
