I recently finished a Six Pane Oak Hutch made of white oak. You can view it at the bottom of my gallery page at http://www.srww.com/gallery-fine-furniture.htm . Also, you can view a log of its construction on page http://www.srww.com/six-pane-oak-hutch.htm . Lastly, I have a number of furniture models available for free in native SketchUp files. See http://www.srww.com/sketchup-furniture-plans.htm . The last two (Office Table and Six Pane Oak Hutch) were modeled entirely in SketchUp and are quite complete. The previous ones were done in TurboCAD and imported to SketchUp, aprocess which leaves behind a lot of information like dimensions. So these models, while complete structurally, need some cleanup and dimensioning.

            Dear Chiefwoodworker,

Your 'hutch' reminded me of a Welsh Dresser, and so I thought I would send you an image, complete with stoneware.

            Caption with photo:

Late 19th century Welsh dresser, pine with original painted and grained finish. The open rack with original hooks, above a base of three drawers and two panelled cupboards. Probably made by H.V.Thomas, cabinet makers Narberth, Pembrokeshire c1890

            Approx 61" wide x 84½" high x 17½" deep (approx 155cm wide x 215cm high x 44.5 cm deep)

            Regards,
            Bob

Thanks Gidon. Glad you liked it.

Bob, do you have a bigger picture or do you know of its existence. I might like to build one. I really like the design.

                Dear Joe,

Sorry, I got that second link wrong. Should be:

                http://www.timbowenantiques.co.uk/home.asp?ID=289

That site also has a nice collection of images of antique furniture .

                kind regards,
                Bob

                    Dear Joe,

I found the image while carrying out a web search for Welsh Dressers, and chose it for its composition and reasonable clarity.

                    I started here:

                    301 Moved

                    favicon

                    (images.google.co.uk)

                    found the image here:

                    Link

but you could go here where the photographs are quite good (nice selection):

                    http://www.tlysau.org.uk/search/simpleSearch.php?lang=en&srch=welsh%20dresser&pg=1

                    Hope this helps.

                    Regards,
                    Bob
