Well what do you know, it is snowing here in Madison Alabama. A light dusting mind you but you can be certain half if not more of the milk and bread in this entire town is off the supermarket shelves by now.

Lucky you, Eric. I haven't seen any snow for years and Liverpool UK is about the same latitude as halfway up Hudson Bay.
We did have an earthquake last night, though. 5.2 on the Richter scale. It felt like a freight train running through the garden. I was still up working, but my wife slept through it.

It's sunny and about 15-20 degrees (Celsius) here. It's ben like this for about the last week or two. Almond trees are starting to blossom (last year they did in January).
I go out in just a shirt and a light jacket (yes and I wear pants/trousers, too). πŸ˜‰

It's snowing here in Knoxville, TN, too. Funny you should mention that about the bread and milk, Eric, as the people here do the same thing. I don't know why (neither do my relatives up north, who laugh about it), but they do.

Because they are paranoid. Nobody in the South knows how to behave in the snow. You get a single flake on the ground and watch out, here come the tow trucks.

Alan, I hope everyone in your area is ok. Did you have any damage to your property?

Thanks, Eric but no. You know what the British are like...one guy got a broken leg when a chimney collapsed. We get more drama when British Rail gets the "wrong kind of snow" (genuine excuse) on the tracks...all 1/4" of it. πŸ˜‰

i always wondered about the people that buy 8 gallons of milk and 8 loafs of bread and 8 dozen eggs before a snow storm... are they planning on a french toast feast?

πŸ˜„ this winter has been mild for us in PA, i wish we had gotten more snow this year, but hey... i hope we have a nice summer.

Alan could you feel that in Liverpool? We could feel it here in Hull, The whole house shook for about a minute. Overall here I think there were a few damaged chimneys but nothing serious. Americans I know you get alot of tremors but the UK only get one every 20 years so it was quite exciting.

Well I have never felt one myself and I even lived in Santa Barbara for 7 years.

Oh yes; I certainly felt it Jon. Considering how much the house shook...all the creaking and groaning woodwork, I was amazed that it didn't set an alarm off anywhere. Maybe something to do with the frequency?
BTW. So much for animals and their sixth sense. I was still up, working on my laptop, with the cat beside me. She never batted an eyelid. πŸ˜‰
