Well I have to say that in the past I have bitten the "As seen on TV" bug. I owned a Soloflex from 1986-2002. In that time I think I burned more calories moving it from house to house/room to room than I ever did working out with it.

Right now I have a Total Gym Pro. We did not buy it from the TV, there was one on sale at Costco one day, fairly cheap so I bit. Here is a link:
      http://www.totalgymdirect.com/exercises.php

I have the basic one, not the newer one with the digital readout and what not but it is remarkably effective.

I am just starting back using it, little by little as a supplement to my diet and walking/swimming.

My family is a member of the YMCA but it is so far from our house we rarely get there. Luckily a new one a couple miles from the house is under construction now. As soon as it opens I will be playing racquetball many times a week. My favorite sport. (I played for The University of Tennessee when I was 😒 much 😒 younger).

Anyway, what machines/equipment/crap have you bought on TV because the chicks/hunks looked too good to be true that you just had to have it ❓ And keep this to fitness equipment or diet scams, I will post an "As Seen on TV" thread in the Corner Bar for other stuff.

Hi! this is my first post in this great forum (i was reading for a while).
And nice to see someone using such an construction too πŸ˜‰.
Yeah, i was using a thing called "turbo gym" bought on eBay for about 3 years. It is a clone of the total gym.
I had a workout, which took an hour or so to get through. And i was doing this every 2(!) days for 3 years!!!!!. This costs much overcoming, i can tell u...
And yes you will see the success. Especially the thorax will swell, after the training u will really look pumped up πŸ˜„ . Be careful, after an year the rope ripped, while I a had pulled me up and then i had a short roller coaster ride straight in the cupboard-ouch! So take care, that nothing is in front of your machine. After this the rubber-rollers broke, later my elbows began to hurt, even after two weeks of doing nothing.
Maybe I was doing something wrong all the time and it would be better to ask a fitness freak how to do the right warm up and use this machine right. So in the moment I'm not using it anymore.

Right now I'm only doing push-ups, pull-ups and a bit barebell toying. This for 2 times a week. And my arms and chest become smaller again 😞 .

sorry for my bad english, i dont have the chance to use it very often.

        Greets from germany!
