Great job remus... what are you shadow setting set on. I'm thinking the images will show up better with "daylight" on and the linework with profiles turned off?

definetly, but without the spring its just a collection of squares, and the spring was a challenge, which is really the main reason im doing this

May I suggest a hollow tube with a stripped texture instead?
