New website
-
We have a new website,Feel free to comment, nearly all portfolio visuals are SU but our work is pretty basic compared to most of you guys though.

Looks good Jon! When I first went to the page the youtube movie loaded with an error. When I returned to that page later it loaded fine.
I have a question about your pic where you set a trampoline flush with the ground. Can you share some tips on how to do that? For instance how deep did the hole have to be? How did you support the sides of the hole or was that needed at all?
Regards, Ross

Jon, very nice website though there are a few grammar and spelling errors on the home page (unless I'm mistaken and some things are spelt differently in the UK). BTW your portfolio is also very nice, you have some really good presentations, very enjoyable to look at.

Thanks Ross, Alpro.
The trampoline was done by my colleague Dave, so I'll have to ask him how he did it, I think the technique is well established though. Grammar and spelling is very bad I know, please feel free to point out other things too. Much appreciated.

Jon, really nice! Clean, measured, hype-less...sophisticated. A pleasure.

Nice site Jon. You should be proud. I only wish I had one to share as well.
I especially like the image of the sports complex. The brown tone to the rendering is very pleasing. -
love the GE vid! need to look around some more later on..

Thanks Eric, Mark, Tom, Alpro
I was actualy a bit nervous about revealing the site to you all, not sure why. I drop by this forum most days and I always have lot's to say (I'm sure you've noticed!) but I don't post much work here really so maybe that was why. But some friends looked at it a few days ago and made good comments so I thought I'd tell you all about it. I think I will have to bite the bullet, learn Podium and render everything from now on. The finished results I'm getting in SU are actually fine for my clients but I think our business would definately benefit from that capability. I have tried other renderers but gave up too soon!
Thanks again!

Eric,
I built the site using Moonfruit. It is an easy to use online template program. I know nothing about HTML or flash or anything like that. http://www.moonfruit.com
We built the basic site in an hour.
If you haven't heard of it, I think Moonfruit is perfect for SU minded people. It is deceptively simple but has loads of functionality. On my site everything is a pre-made template - the movie feeds, jukebox, there are e-commerce facilities too. You can extensively customise the basic features, but most of them look so good anyway.
It isn't lame software, there seem to be quite a few professionals that build their sites using Moonfruit, there is a quite famous English singer called Louise Redknapp who has built her official site using it.You can build a site for free, that is paid for by a small Google Adsense banner, but we paid £50 and that has given us enough bandwidth for 5 sites! Second one underway.
Also you don't have to have "moonfruit" in the domain title if you own a different domain name. Also if you pay, their tech support is free, and they answer your emails in 24 hours. -
a difinite improvement upon the version i commented before. congrats.

Jon, great site. You guys have done an awesome job. I like the background image. It there but not distracted and I really like the first couple of montage layouts for the bar.
-
sweet site... very unique. and of course great architecture and models.

Thanks, Edsun, Tinane, Kris. Edsun, your help was very constructive.

John,
Enjoyed your new site and the work on it. Presentation and navigation are clear, simple and easy to understand. It took me a few seconds to find the very discrete close box on the enlargement window but once you know where it is that isn't a problem.
I liked seeing the analog and digital versions of the tube sculpture entryway. Cool.

A nice clean site - the background suits it.
My only suggestion is to make the 'home, about us, contact us' text beside the buttons also clickable - people generally expect underlined text to be part of the link -
