From SU to real life
-
some time ago i posted some images of a project for the remodelling of the reception area of a local medical clinic (cannot seem to find it either here or at SCF 1).
anyway, i am posting the SU scene and the corresponding view of the built work. it consists of the reception counter, the shelf to the left and the new wooden back wall (which hides a small office).
it came out exactly as planned and shown to the client.

Edson, thats very cool.
You should have posted it in the renders gallery for sh*ts and giggles....
I bet somebody would have insisted you should use a more realistic wood texture.

Now that would have been funny

yes, solo, it would have been funny.
in a way, the "wood" used in this project is a kind of render as everything was made out of MDF faced with a wood laminate.
as an aside, before the carpenter started working, the know-all client decided to change the colors of the counter. what he chose came out awful so he had to ask us to revert to the original idea (wood on white). hehe, sweet revenge for once!

It's nice when they do it like you thought it...and it was good thinking! Sweet revenge, indeed.
Beautiful work, Edson!

thanks, tom.
i tend to work with very few elements; anything that is not essential is eliminated. this demands very good craftsmanship and this time i got it.

The most worked render I have seen in my life!

Nice, thanks for showing us.
