Make mine a Margarita
-
Thanks Shaun...where's my margarita?
-
I really need cooling off, it's 90 degrees F here today! That margarita sounds very nice right now.
Alan, we need a margarita lady!

Here's a pool that's nice and refreshing. Hop in! I acknowledge I was lazy when it came to fixing the tile trim around the pool. It was just a quick visualization for a client. Notice the use of SketchUp's "ground" as the ocean beyond. My thanks to the FormFonts' artists for making it an easy job.

bump whoops - sorry Ross... I told you I'd push you in too! Is that Susan and Joy (CATamountain) in the pool?
Glad you came! - here's a towel and a beer that you can't get so readily in PEI,(Image is nice and clean - very refreshing and I like the style.. If I had time - I'd doctor it to have some Squirlz reflections and you in the deep end in your trademark sweater and wet beard!)

Shaun -- No itchy sweaters for me. I've lost 25 pounds in the last month so I'll soon be able to model a speedo (or thong) at the pool!

Whaat? Were you sick or something? Wow. That's incredible.. are you healthy then now? or was this a relapse into Bulimia or something.. wow. I sure hope you are okay - but something tells me that you are happy with your new body. I could stand losing some weight.. I was 200 when I got married 5 years ago, and now am about 260.. so I'm looking a bit more.. married.. Luckily I'm 6'4" and things get distributed much better.. but ...
25 lb in a month... must have been abducted by aliens... or maybe you knew about Googles plans in advance and stopped eating? Or maybe you lost a leg on your lawn tractor.. seriously I don't know how you did that... 25lbs... man.

No problems with my diet Shaun. Really just a basic macrobiotic one -- while I'm loosing I gave up booze, coffee, caffeine, gluten (no wheat), potatoes, yeast, red meat, most dairy and fruit except for bananas. Sounds tough but it really hasn't been too hard. I'm eating lots of salads and chicken & pork. I love Dutch pumpernickel -- all rye with no yeast, and I eat low-fat yogurt and brown rice. I make a mean hummus. I'm drinking lots of herb teas and water. Add to that more exercise (walking) than I'm used to and the pounds are melting away. So far it's really most noticeable in my face -- looking years younger and less puffy. Still another 35 or so to go -- then I'll start up with the booze again - you know, the maintenance stage!
I attach another pool -- this one indoors for those chilly days.

Jeez, Ross, that's quite the list of things you have cut out! I am impressed with your will power. I mean, no beer 8O .
I may as well throw another pool into the mix.....
-
Ross, congrats!...and I'm plenty impressed without the speedo pics, thanks!
Here's a piece of one of the 2d concepts for the Parsons Pool that finally came back...I wanted a big shallow end to sit in. We need it here too, this place is getting hot: 30 new members since sometime this AM, WoW!
I love it here, Tom.

Very nice, Tom.
Ross, that's impressive! I've only lost 15 lbs. since January, have about 15 more to go. I'm not going as radical a route as you, couldn't make it without the coffee!
Splish splash...
-
Thanks for the drink Shaun! - oops! - ... didn't mean to bump you that hard! well, you'll dry off soon enough.
-
Fletch you dirty rascal! - I'm just glad you're here, but try that in a month after we're all settled in.. I dares ya!

Hey! Where's the swim-up bar? Can't be chillin' poolside with no swim-up. From chaise, to pool, to bar, return. Repeat.
And while I have not gone as drastic as Ross I too have lost some weight (I sure hope I don't find it!). I've dropped about 10 pounds in 2 weeks. Like Ross, no caffeine, dairy, lots of water, no beer (remember, rum and vodka have no calories!), no starches, real careful with bread (no dairy and bread means no pizza! The Horror!), etc. Plus, a little exercise and it just fads away.
Anyone for pool volley ball?

Steven, in a PM to me Boofredlay has suggested we ask Coen to open a 'SketchUp Fit Club' forum where we can discuss diets etc. Would you like that? I thought it was a good idea.
I imagine those of us trying to loose weight could lend each other some support, share ideas etc. It could also have discussion of healthy living topics. I remember Mayor Mike once wrote years ago at the @Last forums about biorhythms. Maybe he knows the secrets of stress-free living.
What do other forum members think? Is it worth making a request to Coen?
Regards, Ross

I think this is a smashing idea! Tips, support, regiments, recipes, etc. We could do once-a-week-weigh ins to chart progress (both good and bad). We could even feature the person to lose the most (percentage-wise) as the "Weigh in of the Week Award." Maybe even do a little bio (though I think most of us know each other already). And for a prize you can get an extension to your free membership here at SketchUcation!

Well then, I think I will post this suggestion in the "What do you want" thread and link this thread.
-
You guys- that actually sounds pretty good - I could stand losing some lb'age.. I'm all for it.

I hope Coen welcomes the idea. I met him at 3dBaseCamp and he doesn't need to loose any weight but no doubt he realized I do!
