Optimus Keyboard Pre-Orders Soon!
-
Okay - someone who has tonnes of money, order one of these so we can all drool!
http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus/If you haven't heard of this yet - have a look here first:
http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus-concept/Now I know that we all know most of our shortcuts, but imagine you have SU, Photoshop and your rendering program open. In SU, all your keys will show your shortcuts, then switch to your renderer, and all keys magically change (please note - no magic used - just OLED) to your rendering icons for shortcuts, then finish off in Photoshop where (you get the idea)
Before you get too exited (like I did), If I remember the cost of these little suckers will be a few Thou.... well, waiting to see what one of you thinks after getting one of the first ones!

This keyboard has been an item of discussion for a while on many a forum on the 'net for a while. Those keyboards are waaaaay too expensive for the general consumer, you'd have to be a pretty bad technology junky to consider buying one of them. Personally, for that kind of price it'll have to do lapdances on a regular basis to justify me buying it.

Mmmmmmmm, lapdances.......................

Well, I'd need (much) more keys for the characters of my language... So I'd wait until they make some upgrade (or an "international") version...
p.s. yeah - maybe the price, too...

Like Coen once said a "Kick@$$ Keyboard"

The $1,564.37 USD price for pre-orders is rather expensive. Still, it is very cool. I like their 12-button panel they say will be available in 2008.
