Nice collection Solo,
You are quite a productive and creative personality. You also seem to be able to give your images that 'something more'.
Very refreshing and always interesting.Solo, could you describe in a few words the best method to get a poser model in Sketchup?
(export and import methods to keep uv-mapping in place)Cheers and thanks for sharing,

Keeping textures on import is a hit and miss thing, In the Podium tips and tutorials, under modelling tips I have a few tips on how to import .3ds keeping the faces intact. Texture imports are more involved and require some strange manoeuvers that do not always work. I have never had success with Poser imported textures unless I import into Vue then export .3ds (however they normally are way too heavy for use in SU) I usually open model in Max and strip the textures, import into SU and reapply them (long way)

Great work as always Solo. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks solo for those tips on Poser imports in SU.
Is it true that Poser 5 is a better match for Sketchup as Poser 6 because the polycount of the models is lower? Thanks,

Poser 1-4 have low poly options that look like FF characters when imported, poser 5 and 6 have higher poly figures great for foreground placement. Poser 7 has way too many bugs to even bother with, install is too big and it takes ages to load, and it lags bad.
so in answering...it depends where you want the figure fore or backround.
A useful tip: if import is clothed then remove anatomy that is not visible, including tongue, teeth etc, as that reduces the size considerably.
